Bruno Mesquita and Emília Simão Present Organic Echoes in Synthetic Forms at aMostra 2.0 in Guarda

From April 22 to 26, 2025, artists and ObEMMA researchers Bruno Mesquita and Emília Simão presented their audiovisual installation Organic Echoes in Synthetic Forms at aMostra 2.0, part of the 20th anniversary celebrations of Teatro Municipal da Guarda. The second edition of the event transformed various areas of the theatre into immersive spaces dedicated to digital and multimedia art, welcoming school groups and the general public.

Their five-minute piece explores the dissonances and confluences between digital and organic generative processes through a non-linear, sensorial experience combining full HD projection and two-channel sound. Organic Echoes in Synthetic Forms interrogates the ethical, biological, and social consequences of human-machine symbiosis, while embracing the rhizomatic and transdisciplinary nature of media arts. The work reflects on the future of humanity and celebrates the randomness and improbable beauty emerging from nature and creativity.
